I am a Native Californian, born in 1954. Dad was full Irish, so I am half, with a bit of Brit and some German thrown in from Mom.
I miss the days of sitting in lecture halls at UC Riverside, reading and discussing literature...
But those days were exhausting, as I went to college full time while raising four amazing--and challenging--children.
I'm proud of my master's degree in English; by the time I was working on it, I was teaching full time and the kids were teenagers. Whew.
I've taught high school and community college, and have been doing freelance writing for several decades now.
I am currently living in a small paradise located in the San Gabriel mountain range where two devoted black cats who rescued me are my truest companions.
